Representation in Call the Midwife - year 12

Dear all - I notice when I was channel hopping that Call the Midwife has a young character Down's syndrome. I have a hunch disability will be the area the exam is on (obviously I could be wrong so revise everything) so this is definitely worth watching. It is on iPlayer - watch it!

Yr13 Media Trip THIS FRIDAY

Dear all,

Please meet at Tonbridge station at 9.05 on Friday morning; your train ticket was included in the price of the trip so don't buy one. Also, the train tickets are group tickets so you need to be in groups of three to travel back.

If you don't want to travel back with staff (remember it is a Friday afternoon and the BFI will have something amazing for you to watch so you really should be staying) I need a note or email from your parents/guardian.

Bring pen and paper, and enthusiasm.

I have set up an account with Shorthand for you to make your website if you wish. The log in details are cope@wealdgs.org/ WOKMEDIAASA2.

Here are some instructions from Shorthand. Please read and follow carefully. YOU MUST NOT DISTRIBUTE YOUR WORK ON SOCIAL MEDIA or the privilege we have been given will be revoked. This is an amazing opportunity to use a site building site that normally costs hundreds of pounds; please use it carefully.

As discussed, please make sure that your student s do not ever share the Preview URLs via Social Media or via large distribution lists of any sort.

I would recommend using the free online training sessions - you can book them here.  Because Shorthand is pretty intuitive, they are less about how Shorthand works and more about how to make your stories really effective.

A2 timings, deadines, submissions

Dear all - quick reminder on timings for the rest of the course.

28^th Feb – deadline for all C/W tasks

·         Following this two intensive weeks on evaluation questions till 10^th March

·         Two weeks split time between that and exam till 24^th March

Then solely exam focus last week of Term Four and up to study
